Older Cat - Claws not retracting

Hello, my 14 year old cat seems to be having problems retracting the claws on her back legs. She doesn't seem to be in any pain from it, however i would like to know if theres something i can do or should i take her to the vets?

Many thanks

This does sometimes happen in ageing cats. It can be associated with a muscle weakness or nerve disfunction. I suggest that it is worth getting her examined by a vet and checked out for nerve reflexes and muscle function.
Observe her carefully for any other unusual behaviour or changes of posture at rest and when moving. Beware the nails catching in looped fibre carpets and be prepared to trim them regularly.
Please let us know what is found.
