Cat coughing/wheezing

On New Year's Day, my 5 year old cat Daisy began retching and bringing up white foam. I took her to the emergency vet who didn't think there was a problem with her stomach but said she could have irritated her throat. She was given a painkiller injection & the vet said to take her back if she didn't eat before the next day. Since then she has regained her appetite but her nose has been dry. She isn't bringing anything up but she still coughs sometimes. Will this settle down or should I take her to get checked up?
Thanks

Sore throats in cats are much the same as in humans. They take time to repair. I suggest that if she is still coughing occasionally next week then it would be sensible to take her for a re-examoination. One of the ways cats(and dogs) will injure their throats is by eating grass. This they tend to do when they have mild gastrointestinal irritation such as is caused by worms in the bowel. So if you see your cat eating grass it is probably tim to worm it.
