piperazine kitten overdose

I gave my kitten almost doble the dose of piperazine dewormer at 8pm. he seems a bit lethargic, fast breathing and is clumsy and stumbles when he walks. Now it is 6am, he is eating, playing and looks much better, he is is still a bit clumsy. is there any anitdote i should give him?

I have never come across piperazine poisoning and certainly not at just a double dose. I therefore suspect there is something else wrong with the kitten and therefore suggest getting it to the vet as soon as possible.
please let us know what is found.

Hi,
I gave my kitten a double dose by accident, the srynge applicator was hard to push so I pushed a little bit too hard and applied too much.
All the vets in my area do not open untill 9am. So I gave the kitten water and let him play. When it was time to take him to the vet, he was fully recovered and regained his balance.
I called the vet's office just in case, and the vet told me there was no real antidote, so either he could have gone into respiratory arrest or fully recover. I was really lucky.

Thanks for this response. I thank you for myself and others who were not aware of the toxic effects of piperazine paste.
