toileting in bath

hello everyone,

I recently gave my girlfriend two 10 month old cats. They are both indoor cats (previous owner lived in 3rd floor flat). They both use the litter tray (filled with wood pellets, and of which there is two), the trays are emptied of faeces daily. However one or both of them are also doing the toilet in the bath. My girlfriend is in a wheelchair so to make things easier for her the trays are located in the bathroom.

Any ideas on why this is happening and how to stop it would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks

my boy cat was urinating in the sink but i put lots of cleaning stuff down so the smell puts him off and do like the vet said leave a little water in as normally a cat dont like to stand in water my kitten is a boy and ive also noticed when he goes outside he squats over the drain hole and urinates to so maybe they r just trying to b clever and urinate down the plugholes but not nice as its ur bath also since i had my boy neutered he hasnt been doing it .
