German Shepherd black spot on tongue

Over the last few weeks I've noticed that my german shepherd puppy has a black/brown spot on his tongue about 1cm x .5cm in size. He's just over a year old and doesn't appear to be suffering from any other related symptoms. Does anyone have any suggestions? Am taking him to the vet on Weds.

I suspect it is just normal him. Are other parts of hisd gums brown or balck? Unless it looks sore or raised don't worry about it.

Thanks for response. Saw vet today and he said it was pigmentation and nothing to worry about.
