my puppy has a sore on his butt hole!!!

My puppy has a sore on his butthole. It bleeds every so often, I clean it out and put neosporin on it and it stops for a while. I have absolutly no money to take him to the vet. Does anyone know what is wrong with my buddy?!

How old is he, what are you feeding him, has he had any traumas to effect his rectum. Is it weeping puss or just blood ?

Need more info.

are you sure it's his butthole and not his anal gland just to the side.

I think its his anal gland (after taking a second look) he is very fury so its kind of hard to tell. He is 2 yrs old, and no, Buddy has never had any traumas to my knowledge. It looks like it is just bleeding and it only happens when he plays with it. He stops messing with it when I apply neosporin. I feed him Beneful Original. He is an American Eskimo. His activity level hasnt gone down at all.

I would suggest that you get them expressed by a vet or groomer.

If left with a problem then they can abscess, and that is a mess.

any charities or welfare clinics. There is little doubt that he neds professional help. In the mean time as a temporary help bathe bathe bathe with solutin tablespoonful of salt to each pint of boiling water use when comfortably hand hot.
