Reoccuring UTI's

My female has had reoccring UTI's within the past year and has been put on antibiotics three different times, it seems like she feels better for two to three months and then back to looking the old way again. I need more advice on this

Suggest further examination to determine if the problem is originating form urethra bladder or kidneys. Adviseable to have reserve course of antibiotics handy so that can be started as soon as there is any suggestion of reccurance.
Would also be sensible to adjust the ph of the urine by modification of the diet (hills ud for example though the diet depnds on the specific diagnosis) or using a mild urinary astringent such as Chelidon or hexamine on a regular basis.
