Mycoplasma infection in chickens

A while ago my chickens all suffered with a mycoplasma infection. It was treated with Tylan Soluble and they all made a full recovery apart from one who still "rattles" when she breathes. She is eating and drinking and behaving normally so I have done nothing more about it. However - as I am contemplating buying in some new birds, is she likely to be a source of infection to the new arrivals or could all my birds now be carriers?

Mycoplasma is difficult if not impossible to erradicate from a poultry flock. Many of the birds will be carring the infection which can recur at times of stress. The chronically infected one almost certainly will be a risk to incoming birds.
I would discuss the possibility of prophylactic treatment of the replacements and keep them isolated as long as possible. I am not sure if the vaccine that is available in some countries is available here. Even if it is then it is doubtfull that it will be available in small quantities. Perhaps some other poultry keepers could help us out with this one.

needs antibiotics and needs them fast. Put all remaining chicks onto Baytril or something similar depending on what your vet advises immediately
