im depressed and crying i lost my rabbit monday i dont think i done the right thing

my rabbit had his front teeth out 2 years ago so every 5 months i had to take him for anasetic to clip his back teeth , last week i noticed a swelling on his right side cheek. he was on antibiotics for 5 days before his due date to have his teeth filed down, i took rabbit to have his teeth filed and the vet said he was worried about the selling which wasnt a abcess as abcess are soft and can be drained, he said his mouth was ulcerated plus he was loosing a little weight,and only having three teeth he was starving himself ,,, yet at home he was eating and drinking ok,,,,the vet said his prognosis was not good, and i asked him if i should put him to sleep . he said well you will only be bringing him back to me soon ,,, so i feel as tho i killed my rabbit im so so depressed i think the vet was wrong and maybe my bunny would of lived longer ,,, i called the vet today and they told me 12 months ago he only has 3 teeth ,, and i asked well how come he wasnt starving then ,,,,,,, please help me im so depressed and crying its like loosing a human ,, i feel as tho i didnt make a decision just made it from what vet was saying ,,,,,,,, and i think vet was wrong

awww:( you did do the right thing he was suffering and in pain you helped him since the day you got him by boosting his confidence taking him home feeding him .
