my rat ? Chocolate Poisoning

My pet rat is unwell. He is lying very still and is not responsive. He ate a chocolate about 10 days ago but until tonight he was absolutley fine. Have kept him warm on a hot water bottle and I'm giving him water. Other than the vet in the morning any suggestions?

I hope he made it through the night. Chocolate causes stimulation to the heart and nervous tissue which may have exaggerated any underlying circulatory problem. I would have expected direct toxic problems to have occurred within 24 hours of eating the chocolate and am interested if anyone else has any experience of chocolate poisoning in the rat

i have studyed stuf about rats for years now.
and choclate does not harm them in anyway
its not like dogs with chocolate

i dnt think its the chocolate.

hi my rats love chocalate and never done them any harm r u sure he hasnt got a underlining illness i would take him to the vet hope e pulls through
