Orange skin/spots around vagina, anus, on back legs and belly

vaginal discharge from both ferrets which results later on that day in a bright orange almost fungal like spots around the ferrets bum, vagina and on her back legs and belly. this only happens when i let them out of the hutch or when i am working them (in rabbit warrens). it then tends to clear up in around 3-4 days! but will come back again straight after.

could these orange spots be dried discharge. Ferrets will come into season and remain that way until they are mated. A vasectomised male or suitable sized glass rod can convince them that that has happened and they will then go out of season.
remainig in season for prolonged periods often results in thye developement of pyometra which does cause more discharge and can often kill them if in doubt get them seen by a vet sooner rather than later.
