Lumps and bump on my hamster

My hamster was bullied in the pet shop and so was kept by her self and has always been very nervous. When handling her 3 weeks ago she tried to run away and i dropped her by accident. Initially she was very shocked but after a minute or 2 seemed fine, i checked her over and didnt find anything wrong. Since then i have noticed 2 things, her nose is swollen and red and there is a red lump on the back of her ear which looks very tight and has no fur on it. Her behavior, appetite and thirst has not changed and when i have touched both areas she is not in pain, she squeaks when anything is wrong normally.

Thanks

i suspect that both abnormalities will be the result of injuries and the lump behind her ear will be an abscess. Bathe it with a warm strong salt solution and when it bursts prepare for a horrid smell continue bathing to keep the hole open as long as possible so that it heels from the underneath.

Just leave the nose alone.

I no its been quite a while but i just wanted to say thank you for your advice, the lump behind her ear popped after two weeks of bathing it, the smell was pretty intense! That seems to have healed completely, her nose on the other hand got worse, i think she had been scratching it, so i had to take her to the vets to get anti biotics but she is all well and good now. Again, thank you very much! :)

thanks well done. I feared that the nose may be a tumour and glad to hear it is not Well done for taking her to the vet.
